Elleza Kelley is a PhD candidate in the English Department at Columbia University. Her research examines how black spatial and geographic production is archived in art and literature. She thinks about piracy in relation to black cultural production and preservation, regimes of property, and anticapitalist modes of circulation. Elleza has a special relationship to fandom as a Mariah Carey scholar and honorary lamb.
